LIADAN's father wants her to marry one of his men in order to give her a good life, but she has never had any desire to marry, not yet. She is very happy being free to flirt and tempt whomever she wishes. Of course, her father does not care what she wants. He only wants for her to get married and set a good example for her younger sister.

HILSON and LIADAN have been very good friends since they were children, and HILSON has always secretly liked LIADAN. LIADAN does not return these feelings, but will do anything to keep away from CORMAC. CORMAC does not like the fact that HILSON is hanging around and being protective of LIADAN. CORMAC starts to become possessive, threatening anyone who comes near LIADAN.

How will LIADAN react to finding out about these threats? What about HILSON's feelings, will they be returned? What will LIADAN do about CORMAC's possessive nature and her free-spirited one?
